I recently discovered the amazing Dimmeys mural in Green St, Richmond. The mural was creating over five years by Melbourne artist Hayden Dewar and depicts historical scenes over the history of Melbourne and Victoria since Dimmeys establishment in 1853. It is a truly amazing piece of art. I took pictures of the whole mural but won’t display all of them here: just one today and one tomorrow. The whole mural is portrayed on Hayden’s own website here. Or of course you could go down and see it if you’re in Melbourne. Unfortunately the future of the mural is under a cloud as development looms over the Dimmeys site.
